    REFUND POLICY:  

Cancellation – A student may terminate enrollment by mailing such notice by CERTIFIED MAIL, EMAIL, or PHONE CALL.  The effective date of cancellation is the date postmarked.  Any refunds due will be made by the school within 30 days.  Materials – Initial correspondence course materials shall be sent to the student within five (5) working days following receipt of the student’s enrollment, or the student may rescind the contract and shall be entitled to full refund of all monies paid.  At any time during the enrollment period, this institution shall, upon written request, send all course materials paid for but not received.  Such act will constitute full settlement of the school’s obligation except for Five-Day Full Refund Period.  An enrollee may cancel enrollment within five working days following receipt of course materials and receive a refund of all monies paid, including registration and material fees, provided all materials are returned in an unused condition.  Shipping costs may be deducted from the refund.


COURSE CONTENT / TIME LIMITS:  

The home study courses consist of spending a minimum of 45 hours reading and studying the course textbook, taking the chapter review quizzes, and passing a final exam. The final examination can be taken a minimum of 18 days from the date the student has had access to the course materials.  The maximum time students have to complete a course is one year from the date of registration.  If students fail the final examination, they can re-take the final examination one time at no additional cost.  However, students must wait a minimum of another 18 days studying the course materials before they can re-take the final examination. For the second attempt at the final examination, the student will be given a different version. If a student should receive a grade of Failure after the second attempt, then they may repeat the entire course by submitting a $15.00 registration fee.


FINAL EXAMINATION:  

The final exam is open-book and consists of 100 multiple choice questions.  Students are allowed three hours to complete the final exam and need to score a minimum of 60% to pass.  Students have a choice of taking the final exam at REVEI, with a proctor, or on the internet.  Students may contact REVEI and request a convenient date and time for the final exam to be taken at REVEI.  For proctored exams, students may contact REVEI and request a convenient location, date and time for the final exam. The final designation and approval of the final exam administrator and determination of the location date and time is the responsibility of REVEI.  The exam administrator cannot be related by blood, marriage, domestic partnership, or any other relationship to the student which would influence them from properly administering the exam.  Students taking the final exam on-line will be issued a unique username and password.  Internet final exams can not be printed or downloaded and the exam will automatically time-out at three hours.  Under no circumstances shall the final exam be furnished directly to the students.


COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATES/RECORDS:  

Course completion certificates will be issued within 5 days of passing the final examination.  Records of course completion certificates will be maintained indefinitely to allow students to receive a duplicate certificate if needed.

Correspondence Course Identification Statement

Participants shall present one of the following forms of identification immediately before the administration of the final examination:

A. A current California driver’s license.

B. A current identification card described in Section 13000 of the California Vehicle Code

C. Any identification of the participant issued by a governmental agency or a recognized real estate related trade organization within the immediately preceding five years which bears a photograph, signature and identification number of the participant.

The final examinations can not be completed in less than 6 days from the date the student has had access to the course materials.  The maximum time students have to complete a course is one year from the date of registration.  If students fails a final examination, they must re-enroll in the program before they can take the exams again. Re-enrollment will consist of taking the entire course again, and students must wait a minimum of another 6 days studying the course materials after they re-enroll before they can complete all the final examinations.  The re-enrollment fee will be $15.00.


INCREMENTAL ASSESSMENTS:

All courses contain incremental assessments designed to properly measure a participant’s mastery of the course content. Remediation to the student will be provided along with the students personal ID for the final examination before the final examination can be taken.

FINAL EXAMINATION:  The final exams are open-book and consist of 15 multiple choice questions each for Agency, Ethics, Fair Housing, Trust Funds, Risk Management, and Broker Management & Supervision; 10 multiple choice questions for Implicit Bias; 30 multiple choice questions for Legal & Marketing - Part 1; and 40 multiple choice questions for Legal & Marketing - Part 2. Students are allowed one minute per question to complete each final exam and need to score a minimum of 70% to pass. Students who fail an exam will not be permitted to take it again without re-registering in the course, and retaking the entire course that was failed. Students must also wait the appropriate amount of time during any re-enrollment. Students may not take more than 15 credit hours of testing within a 24 hour period. Therefore, to complete all 45 hours of testing, the student must spend at least 3 different days to complete the exams.  Students have a choice of taking the final exam at REVEI, with a proctor, or on the internet.  Students may contact REVEI and request a convenient date and time for the final exam to be taken at REVEI.  For proctored exams, students may contact REVEI and request a convenient location, date and time for the final exam, REVEI will select an appropriate test administrator that will properly administer the exams (refer to DRE Article 25 Section 3007.3(h)).

Students taking the final exams on-line will be issued a unique username and password.  Internet final exams can not be printed or downloaded; and the exams will automatically time-out at one minute per question hours.  Under no circumstances shall the final exams be furnished directly to the students. Upon registration you will need to provide a valid Driver’s License ID # or other State ID # which will be checked again when you take your final exams to ensure no one else is completing your exams for you. You will also be required to swear by the penalty of perjury that you and you alone are taking the final exam.
